Christian says the Bible opposes forced slavery

Does the Bible implicitly endorse slavery?

Video says: "The Bible is consistently against capturing people to be in slavery."

Dobbie says: Well, actually the Old Testament God permitted Hebrews to capture women and children to be in slavery as spoils of war.

The video says 1 Timothy 1:10 denounes slavery. Well, in most Bible editions the verse reads it's bad to be a "slave dealer" or "manstealer." That's the private enterprise of kidnapping persons to sell as slaves. It's forbidden in the Old Testament too. Exodus 21:16 "Whoever steals a man and sells him, and anyone found in possession of him, shall be put to death."

1 Timothy denounces that form of slave trade, although 1 Timothy fails to denounce slavery in general. So it seems the video host doesn't know what he's talking about.

Comments on above video: Dr. Indre Viskontas and Randall Sullivan interviewed Chelsea’s nurse who stated they had never seen the vision before ... and hadn’t since.  Since Dr. V felt the image was a major part of the case, she had a video expert recreate the scene to see if it was possible to get a similar image. He did! Not exactly the same, but really close. As the sun came thru a window, the image was reflected.
